I’ve always had shoulder blades that seem to stick out more so than other people. Is this something that I should worry about?

True scapular winging is fairly rare. It typically coincides with an obvious traumatic onset or neurological disorder and includes pain, decreased shoulder motion, and weakness. If you have none of these symptoms, then you probably do not present with true scapular winging. That being said, however, you can improve your shoulder quality of motion and muscle imbalances if you do present with pain and a physical therapist will be able to help you with this.
