When my back pain was more acute, an epidural spinal injection provided some relief. Now that my back pain is more chronic, is it reasonable to assume that it could help again?
Recent review of available studies suggests that epidural steroid injection in chronic low back pain may be beneficial at least short-term, particularly in those persons who are unresponsive to other conservative care such as physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medications.
