I have benefited from trigger point injections in the past. Is it worth having them repeated for my chronic low back pain?
There are no studies that evaluate the usefulness of trigger point injections for chronic low back pain. Use of local anesthetics versus corticosteroids are better tolerated and have fewer side effects and costs associated with them. If beneficial, will likely be short-term.
