My daughter's friend has scoliosis but she doesn't look that different. She told me that she has two curves, one balancing out the other. Can this be true?

Scoliosis, curvature of the spine, can be either one curve, a "C" shape, or two, an "S" shape. Those with the "S" shapes may not seem to have as many problems because they may balance out somewhat, but usually one curve is bigger than the other, still throwing the body's balance out of whack.
