Why would someone need a revision surgery after having a knee replacement? What can go wrong?

Knee replacements, as with any joint replacement, can fail for a variety of reasons. If the implant fails enough to cause pain and restrict movement, a replacement or revision may be done, depending on if it is feasible.
Some common reasons for revision surgery include infection in the joint, breakage of the implant, and breakage of the bone holding the joint.
